The 2022-2023 school year has come to an end, so it is that time that we recognize Dream Big Project’s class of 2023 scholarship recipients!
First and foremost, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of our supporters. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of underserved students and families.
We are thrilled to announce that our 5th Annual Scholarship Awards Celebration was a tremendous success! We want to send a special shoutout to all of our sponsors, partners, donors, and event participants for making this celebration extra special. Without your support, none of this would be possible. Your generosity and commitment to our mission are truly inspiring.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to all of the Dream Big Project volunteers and members who came together to organize this incredible event. Your dedication and hard work are invaluable, and we are so grateful for your contributions. Because of you, we were fortunate to recognize a total of ten scholarship recipients from local high schools including Norwalk High, La Mirada High, and Santa Fe High. Our scholarship committee received over two dozen applications, so choosing our top ten was a challenging task to say the least.

- Melissa Flores, Dream Big scholarship, Santa Fe High, UCLA
- Janelle Peralta, Ramiro and Lucy Gallegos Scholarship, Norwalk High, USC
- Hyerin Shin, Ramiro and Lucy Gallegos Scholarship, Norwalk High, USC

A special shoutout goes to Ken Cook, Chef Tracy, and the Norwalk High Culinary and SkillsUSA team for catering our event. The food was absolutely delicious, and we appreciate your culinary expertise!
We are thrilled to share that Dream Big Project has increased the total number of scholarships we provide to high school graduates every single year since our establishment in 2014. From 2, 3, 4, 7, and now 10 scholarships, we are making a greater impact with each passing year. This accomplishment would not be possible without the continued support of the Dream Big community. We are forever grateful.
As we move forward, we want to remind you that you can continue to support the Dream Big Project scholarship program in various ways. Whether through sponsoring an annual event, making a monthly contribution, or simply purchasing Dream Big merchandise, every contribution makes a difference. You can find more information on how to support us on our website.
Lastly, we want to express our deep gratitude to the event participants who joined us in the 5th Annual Scholarship Awards Celebration. Your presence and support mean the world to us, and we are incredibly grateful for your commitment to our cause. A special thank you goes out to Martha Pelayo, Carlee Romero, Dr. David Olea, David and Yolanda Gallegos, Pedro Ruezga, Jorge Tirado, Ricardo Martin, Neil Irish, Carlos Del Real-Leyva, and our musical engineers.
Thank you once again for your continued support and partnership. Together, we are empowering our students to dream big and achieve their goals. We look forward to another successful year ahead!
